Our Promise (and Six Questions To Ask Before Changing ERP Solutions)

My name is Erin Koss. I am the CEO and founder of SYTE Consulting Group. If you don’t know us, SYTE consulting group has been a leading ERP consulting group in the Pacific Northwest and nationally. I would like to welcome you to SYTE Consulting Group’s redesigned website and blog. Our blog will allow us to easily and quickly share our resources and knowledge with you.

You’ll hear us make this promise over and over, but I think it bears repeating. We put a lot of effort and thought into what news, ideas, and resources we should share on our blog, newsletter, and social media channels.

We, at SYTE, promise . . .

  1. Not waste your time. We know that time is a limited resource and that you work hard to protect it—we do the same! When we post to our blog, our LinkedIn or Facebook pages, we promise to do our very best to make it worth your time to read, view, and consider. If a piece we produce doesn’t live up to that standard, we simply will not post it.
  2. Lead with value. We believe that it really is better to give than receive. In digital marketing, great emphasis is placed on clarifying the Call to Action. To us, that puts the focus on what we’re asking of you. Instead, we want to first consider what we can give to you that you might find useful and valuable.

To that end, let’s set the right tone from the beginning.

Six Little, High Impact Questions

Among other things, we help businesses select, implement, and optimize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Adopting a new ERP system is a daunting task for any organization, no matter how big or small. There are some rock-bottom, foundational questions that organizations should ask themselves before considering a change of this magnitude. Let’s walk through six of them together.

“There are no right answers to wrong questions.” – Ursula K. Le Guin

Please answer the following six questions with a yes, no, or I don’t know.

  1. Are you able to describe, in two or three sentences, the current state of your business?
  2. Can you describe where your business will be ten years from now?
  3. If not ten years, can you describe where your business will be three years from now?

Think about the future of your business over the next three-to-ten year as you answer these questions:

  1. Will the people you currently have in your organization be able to get the business where it needs to go?
  2. Will your current business processes will be able to grow with your business?
  3. Think about your current technology. Will it keep up with the needs of your business?

Consider how easy or difficult is was to answer those questions. While these sound like simple questions, many business founders, executives, and team leaders have difficulty answering them. If you found yourself answering no or I don’t know to three or more of the questions above, I’d love the opportunity to connect with you personally—whether you have a looming change initiative or not! I’d consider it a privilege to learn more about you and your business.
